Low literacy addressed in eleven-word poems
First 'elfjes' 'tear calendar' published
On November 24, Govert handed out the first 'Elfjesscheurkalender' to Jet van Aalst of the Association of Literary Activities Maastricht (Vlam) and Annie Scheffers. 'Elfjes' are eleven-word poems (somewhat like haiku's), the first thing low literate people learn to write during alfabetisation lessons.
